Everglades National Park protects the last great subtropical wilderness in the continental U.S. Within its boundaries are more than 350 species of birds, 300 species of fresh and saltwater fish, 40 species of mammals and 50 species of reptiles. As the third largest national park in the lower 48 states (2,500 square miles), Everglades National Park poses many unusual logistical and photographic challenges that are best overcome with the help of a knowledgeable guide.

Award-winning travel journalist and wildlife photographer M. Timothy OKeefe shows you where to find many of the Everglades most distinctive animals such as wood storks, great blue herons, roseate spoonbills and alligators--even rarely seen crocodileson your very first trip.
